I bought this monitor as a second monitor and I would say it is the right monitor for this quality. The pictures are fine, the brightness is fine. It's unfair to compare it to my $400 4k monitor, but when it's side by side the comparison is inevitable. But as I said, it serves as an extra window when I'm working and need a lot of information at the same time. For those with sound issues, fixing this problem on Windows is very simple. Once the monitor is installed, click on the small speaker icon in the bottom right corner and change it back to Main Speakers, probably the first device listed. If you want to go further, you can type "Device Manager" in the Windows bar, go to the sound settings, right-click the "LG" item and turn it off. This will only mute the monitor, not the entire device.
