After buying several large compressor dehumidifiers, each of which didn't last more than a few years, I decided to try one of these small Peltier dehumidifiers on a boat. I am satisfied with the performance of such a small device considering that the boat is larger than recommended for this model. Spring gives way to summer so needs are less than winter, which helps. It doesn't remove the amount of water like the big ones, but it also doesn't take up any floor space or make so much noise that I have to turn it off during the day. I think this is a good option and maybe the second one in the front will do in winter. They are small enough to put in a box while sailing. They make very little noise when in operation. Mine is about 3 feet from me now and it's no louder than a laptop fan. I get up to 1/2 cup of water a day which is very easy to pour out of the bowl. So far I can recommend this one and get another one later this year.
