first thing we got didn't measure 4 ounces. The grit should be 0.2 lbs. Half a pound and more were recorded, but small weights were not. We sent it back for an exchange. The next scale didn't work at all. The self-calibration was not performed and the display was erratic - only the top half of the numbers were displayed. I don't know if the scale sustained any damage in transit - the packaging used by Revain was definitely sub-standard, so only the foam in the manufacturer's packaging protected the scale from damage. The first came in a plastic bag, the second in a large box with some crumpled scraps of paper for cushioning. I didn't want to spend any more time trying to get a working product.
