7.5 " NOT 7.25 " in brackets

As the other reviewer said, it's not 7.25" and not designed for standard 1x8 (7.25") shelves. The mounts are 7.5" which I believe will fit a 2 x 8 (7.5" wide) but the product description is incorrect. Otherwise they seem strong and inexpensive but my shelves have a gap in the front or wall.
