My workbench does not have a lip, and I needed a secure and stable surface to mount a PanaVise. These folding shelf brackets were perfect. They appear to be very sturdy, and when my shelf is in the up and locked position the shelf does not wiggle or move. Always short on space to fold clothes in our tiny laundry room. These braces had good reviews so I tried it out. Very nice quality indeed! Easy to install.Strange they short you a screw for vertical and horizontal bars though. There are 3 holes per bar but only 2 screws provided for each. Whatever, this thing isn’t going far and can easily add another.Slide mechanism feels and sound high quality. Very happy!

These folding brackets worked perfectly for my intended application. Installed in garage dry wall so mounted a piece of support wood on the garage wall with anchors and lag bolts. Attached the 16" folding brackets to the support wood approximately 20" apart and attached the 24"x24" wooden shelf with m5 hex screws and nuts. More than sturdy enough to support my meter saw and second a seat for my wife.

Just got around to finally finishing the home project idea. I used a Rubbermaid shelf wood I bought from Lowes for like $8. These shelf brackets are super sturdy and fully made of steel, the quality is pretty clear.Only thing I suggest (I did it for future proofing) is pick up 4 toggle bolt wall anchors. I just like the most secure thing possible, even though this kit comes with plastic anchors.

As easy to install as a fixed shelf bracket. Took out one star for sturdiness since a single bracket does wobble a bit right to left once installed, but when two are installed plus the shelf, wobbling is negligible. This is important since the brackets need to be at an exactly 90 degree angle to the wall, otherwise it will be difficult to collapse the shelf. I used levels and right angle tools to make sure I had alignment, and found that one of the brackets did not sit 90 degrees from the wall.

A bit persnickity to install, but works well. If you install it onto wall first you can fold down the bracket and use the slot on the top to screw in the topmost screw. Otherwise you will need an extra long screwdriver to reach that spot.Take care to keep the two brackets level and plumb or the folding mechanism may catch on itself and be difficult to close. I used it for fold down lumber supports on each side of my miter saw table. So far working quite well.

New rv is great but short on counter space. Used this to add a flip up table to the end of the countertop. That extra 15” made a big difference for work space.
