Very slow method of grinding coffee beans

I like this little manual coffee grinder, but this is a very slow method of grinding coffee beans. If you need speed, buy an electric meat grinder as you can get it done in 30 seconds. It takes at least 5 minutes for medium to fine grinds and is enough to fill about 6 K-Pod filters. I sit and watch TV while I grind as it's a lot easier for me to keep him on my knees than trying to stand at the bar and grind for five minutes. You get a shoulder workout, just a long workout. The physical action of turning the crank while grinding for so long helped me regain some muscle strength around my shoulders and rotator cuffs, which helped with movement and reduced pain - so it's also a physical therapy tool for me. I love that this is a ceramic grinder and not a metal grinder. Hand grinding creates less heat on the beans and this should improve flavor. I don't have a tongue for the taste of gourmet coffee, so I can't say it beats an electric (or metal) coffee grinder when it comes to the taste of coffee that comes out after grinding. I just prefer ceramics. Easily disassembled for full washing and drying. And it's easy to remember how to put it back together. The grinder head only fits the jars included in the kit (I haven't found any other screw-on jar so far). It only comes with ONE glass lid! For example why? It comes with two glasses. They suggest you leave the grinder on a can after grinding, which I don't do. I grind both regular and decaffeinated coffee, so I need a lid for both cans (just in case I have a grind left over after filling the K-Pod). I keep my coffee in airtight containers including refillable K-Pod filters as they are not airtight little coffee filters. I only gave 4 stars because two lids are missing as I have to use plastic wrap and rubber banding on a jar to seal it and I find this disappointing as a proper lid would be super nice! Fantastic value at the current price of just over $10.
