I was looking for a modern mailbox with a lock and a simple design. This black letter box goes really well with the gray bricks and white stucco in our home. It has clean lines and complements the modern, simple lines of our home. It's not Heavy Metal, but it's strong and well done. It comes with all the hardware we need for a quick installation. It also came with washers to keep it off the brick to allow the lid to open 90 degrees freely. It is large enough to fit in a large flat envelope without damage. I didn't think I would enjoy looking at my mail through the three small square windows in the front. Surprisingly, I like being able to see if there's mail in the box and the amount of envelope you see doesn't compromise security. So far, the postman has not used the open drop below for larger magazines or mail. I'm not sure if he understands it's there. I recommend this mailbox and would buy it again without hesitation. Also, the key looks like the master key. It is more of a deterrent than a high security lock. But the price is not a problem at all.
