My cat crawled out from under the gate wearing an ivy net. I replaced the faux ivy with a trellis panel but raised it to allow the gate to open. possibly still allow my cat to come out. I attached a barbed strip to the bottom of the gate and it worked. It will lie flat, but you need to put something heavy on it for a few days. I live in a humid area and the rug under the table my pet lies on can get damp and moldy. I laid the stud strip down to allow the rain to run off and the mat to stay dry. Note: You cannot use it under a rug or rug that people can walk on. He's too unstable.
