I've never had a metal allergy in my life until I bought some silicone sports bands with a large stainless steel round rivet. Each of them had a red irritation 1-2 inches in diameter on my arm for several days. I've tried clear nail polish over the top, I've tried moleskin over it, I've tried foam plasters. All this bought me a few days, but then the irritation broke out. But I'm really into athletic straps, so I only wear fresh moleskin about once a week. When I saw this strap with a small hex rivet I decided to take the plunge and so far so good. I've been wearing it regularly for several weeks now. I put a few coats of clear nail polish on it first and will be topping it up regularly, but so far it's working and my hand isn't turning red at all. It works so well I've ordered a few more in different colors. I agree that it's a little harder to put on than other sports bands, but I don't care. It works. I take it off and only put it on once a day. I can live with it. And another thing that sucks is that it's LONG! Additional wraps underneath and completely under the watch. I solved it by cutting off the end about an inch and it works fine. But that's the only reason I downgraded the star rating. I have a 6" wrist and if you had a 7" it would fit perfectly! But I love it, I love the black and navy blue with rainbow accents. Super sweet! my favorite groups
