The COVID cleanup has finally got my daughter and I to organize costume jewelry in one compact spot on the wall. And it's time to write a detailed review to help others. 3 stars more product comfort, definitely not the quality of the material. Pros, cons and tips. TIPS1. Small nails at least 1.5 inches long are great for holding these slats to the wall for holding fancy jewelry or similar lightweight items. There is no need to use the dowels/nails supplied with the kit as this will cause significant holes in your wall, especially as it is made from ultra-lightweight faux wood that weighs next to nothing. To hang more items in this set I simply nailed some tiny household nails into one of the pieces to hang additional earrings, see picture. 3. On one of the boards that comes with a tiny long stick, you can see in my photos that I tied a rubber band at each end to make it more secure if something doesn't fall off. I added a cute piece of yarn for embellishment. The stick is so fragile that the baby can bend it with one finger. PROs1. Works well and gets the job done at a barely affordable price of less than $20. But it should be closer to $10 depending on the material. You pay for comfort, not quality. But if it was more than $20 then it would be much more expensive. Organizes your fashion jewelry in a nice compact space.3. You can place each piece as you like.4. I managed to drive a few dozen more nails into one of the boards to use the space for hanging decorations. See my photos.5. It's cute and looks organized on my wall outside my door. CONs1. Mass production takes place in China. It's cheap, cheap, cheap stuff across the board, maybe worth two bucks. It's almost like synthetic wood foam.2. If you decide to hammer additional nails into one of the boards like I did then be careful as this faux wood can split widely and snap if you hammer too hard or use a thicker nail.3. Not sure how long that will take. But who knows, it can take years! Just take a look. But still worth a try for less than $20.4. Won't hold heavier items as it's too flimsy unless you want to drill massive holes in the wall to hold this cheap product. If so, then I recommend buying another product. It's really made for storing jewelry or lighter items.
