Some have expressed concern that the USB-C connection is "too tight" and I'm having the same issue, but after careful consideration I found this to be consistent with the cable calculated. I went back to my original Apple cable (iPad AIR 4) and found that the connect/disconnect effort was very similar to the Elebase cable, which was a bit "tighter". LaCie addresses this very issue on their website and after reading this I have a feeling this cable is exactly as it should be. Better than the Lightning connector IMHO. "The connection is too tight. New cables may feel too tight, some of them may even snap. If you come across this, please know that this is to be expected.
