I’m 5’6”, 160ish, and bought a size L. Overall, these were pretty comfy. My thighs always make getting a good pair of loose shorts a challenge and these did not disappoint! The waist has a double button and zipper and an elastic band—which helps the paper bag look and adds to comfort. I took off a star because they bunch a bit in the front, but this doesn’t make the shorts a dealbreaker. A medium WOULD NOT have worked for me—the L was the best choiceI haven’t washed these yet, and when I do, I plan on washing and hanging to dry—no dryer. These don’t seem like they’d agree with the dryer at all.
