Works great on Subaru Outback
Driven 4 crates in crates for 12 hours. I installed the bottom portion of the barrier to the back of the front seats and folded down the top portion so the rear of the car was accessible. A few hours later, when I was traveling, I opened the cages so the cats could run around the back. No need to open the rear doors of the car. I simply unfolded the barrier and hooked it to the headrests. This completely sealed off the space behind the front seats so they couldn't get into the front seats or run away when I stopped.
