Review on 💧 WAYNE CDU800 0.5 HP Submersible Sump Pump Made of Cast Iron and Steel - Integrated Vertical Float Switch by Daniel Greene

Bought a house 20 years ago and the sump pump in the basement was old and noisy and the float switch was broken. This Wayne pump worked fine so I ordered it with a check valve. Mind you, I've never had a house with a basement, and I've never touched a drain pump in my life. I cut the PVC leading to the old pump and removed it. I screwed in the check valve, pressed the PVC against it, then connected the PVC pipes with a rubber coupling for easy removal if/if the thing dies. Took me ten minutes from start to finish. Turned it on and I've barely heard how it works. The float switch works great and sucks in water very quickly. I am very impressed with this pump and can only recommend it. The only minor comment I have is that I think it should come with a check valve, but that was cheap enough. A+
