This is a great little standalone player! I've just received a whole box of my old records that I found while moving house. I haven't had a turntable for many years. I just wanted to donate them, but I just couldn't look through them. So I looked at what is currently available in players and this one was well priced and cheap! I got it yesterday and spent an hour listening to old vinyl records. The built-in speakers are pretty damn good, with plenty of volume. Today I decided to connect it to my small desktop system with the cable that came with it and it works great too! The built-in speakers don't turn off, but that's normal since the system speakers are on the other side of the room. I have a volume control on both the player and my desktop device. Have fun and old records bring back memories!
