For starters this is a fantastic set in terms of variety of tools but I wish it had half as many items though better quality. Lots of little things, to the point where a lot of them seem like overkill just to add to the crowd. Most are perfect for beginners in leatherworking, but each tool seems to raise questions about how long it will last and can be frustrating to use. For example, a skier is a good weight, but the oddly narrow blade flexes severely, making skin thinning a chore and leaving it uneven. The grooving tool has a cutting edge on the arm rather than the body, making it difficult to control. the creasing machine looks solid, but actually has a play of approx. 2 mm and leaves wandering lines. Some handles are lacquered, some are bare wood, some are rough. etc. If I had to judge this set on the variety of tools it would certainly be 5 stars, as you can see a lot of thought went into choosing what things to include. It can certainly get the job done, but the numerous quirks lead to some frustration. Perfect for beginners to try loads of things, especially if they lack ALL the tools (including even a knife).
