Attention buyers! My shoe size is 11 and I buy shoes in 11.5 D(M) US. The outsole on this shoe is made out of a hard composite plastic (Adiprene by Adidas) - great stuff if you want to shred zucchini or break cinder blocks - bad for your feet! The outsole of the shoe does not flex at all. I couldn't get my feet individually into these shoes no matter how hard I tried, including my wife jumping up and down on my head to get my feet into the shoes. Stay away from shoes made of adiprene - you'll be in trouble. However, this beautiful pair of shoes is a classic example of functionality sacrificed for form.
