👞 Black Rockport Classic Penny Loafer Men's Shoes in Loafers & Slip-Ons Review

I've been wearing them for 21 months now and I feel great. However, after wearing them more or less every other day, the plastic soles split completely in half, edge to edge, about halfway between the toe and instep. Tear through, to the point where the sock moves on its own, held only by the skin, and if it's even a little wet on the outside, my socks get wet. They're comfortable enough that I buy other pairs, but I've rarely had a pair of shoes wear out so quickly.

For almost ten years I have been very satisfied with the Johnston & Murphy Ainsworth Penny Men's Slip-Ons as they have been comfortable, affordable and perfectly fitting shoes. Unfortunately the price of these shoes went up to the point where they could only be ordered on the MFG website for more than double the price I previously paid. my choice. I could barely wear this shoe and it says it's my size (width 12). I had a similar experience with another pair of Rockport Penny Loafers - they seem to me to be a size and a half too small despite the correct size being marked on the shoe. This shoe in particular was particularly ugly. Ugly skin and mediocre workmanship. A few years ago Rockports shoes were of very high quality. They've definitely been cutting corners lately. I will never buy one again.

Attention buyers! My shoe size is 11 and I buy shoes in 11.5 D(M) US. The outsole on this shoe is made out of a hard composite plastic (Adiprene by Adidas) - great stuff if you want to shred zucchini or break cinder blocks - bad for your feet!
