Yes it's expensive but about the same as a replacement lens cap for my Canon lenses. Yes, I also think it should come with a camera. Any decent (SLR) camera you buy will have some kind of lens cap, but then again, the waterproof case IS some kind of lens cap, so I really have nothing to complain about. It's well made, looks great, fits the case snugly and I know it won't fall off if bumped, dropped or bumped. Another plus is that it also protects the power button. I have peace of mind knowing my GoPro won't accidentally turn on or drain the battery when it's in a pocket, backpack, pouch or bag. It was a really smart design choice by GoPro and I thank them very much for that! Thanks, people. As a bonus, owners get an extra battery cover and port cover, as well as a lens cover when the case is removed. I didn't have to use them, but if I ever lose one of the tiny factory caps, I know I have a backup.
