I wish I had known that many years ago.
These things didn't work on my Jeep Wrangler when I bought it from the previous owner. The door kept falling on my head. I had no idea they could be replaced until I recently googled and watched a YouTube video. They were cheap and took less than 5 minutes to swap out. I'm still shocked at how well they work when I open the rear window.
