I have had the Yamaha A-S801SL integrated amplifier for about a month now. I can only say positive things about him. The amount of net power it runs at is night and day compared to a 5.1 receiver setup. For vinyl lovers, I can say that the background input sounds great. So much so that I didn't even use my own separate phono stage (Cambridge CP2). The main reason I bought the 801 over the cheaper models was the USB DAC. The DAC sounds incredible because it's integrated. The assembly is very solid. It weighs almost 30 pounds and is very durable on the outside. Another nice feature is that you can disconnect the power cord from the device. This is a nice feature that allows you to buy a longer or shorter cable if needed. The volume control is analog. So when you use the remote, the volume control actually moves. A nice feature that I didn't see anywhere in the spec. I cannot recommend this product enough.
