I just received this alarm clock and it exceeds my expectations! It's extremely legible (the numbers are just under 2 inches high) and at maximum brightness it's very bright and easy to see during the day. The time can hardly be seen during the day in minimum brightness. although you can see it in a dark room, it doesn't turn off completely, it's very dark. The dimmer is a slider so you can choose any level from almost off to bright. It's also VERY easy to set up. The instructions are great, but even without them, every button on the back makes sense. It has an alarm pause button that is raised and red on the back of the watch to silence the alarm each day so it will sound the next day. There's also a separate slider so you can turn off the alarm entirely if you don't want to use it, and of course you can hit the snooze button at the top center of the alarm if you want to get an extra 9 minutes. There are separate buttons for setting the time and alarm. Just press the button you want and use the hour and minute buttons on top of the clock to set it. There's also an alarm volume slider and a time format slider to toggle between 12-hour and 24-hour (military time) format. Finally, you can press and hold the time setting button for a few seconds, then the DST indicator will light up and the hour will be added to Daylight Saving Time. When this is over after 6 months, simply press and hold the time set button for a few seconds and the daylight saving time indicator will turn off and the time will go back one hour. It's a manual process, but you only do it twice a year and it's a little more convenient than turning the time back and forth every six months. The night light colors can be changed every time you press the snooze button. at the top. They look good too and if you press and hold the snooze button you can turn off the night light. The alarm clock has a very clean look and is easy to see and use. The numbers are bright, clear, and consistent (no part of the number appears lighter or darker than other parts of the numbers). I highly recommend it!
