Follow instructions both online and on the box. Make sure the tank is empty. I added three pods and poured five gallons of water from a clean milk jug. Drove 163 miles to Pittsburgh, Kansas over the weekend. After a 3 day stay we made a septic tank. (The level read "2/3" according to the gauge.) After the reset, to my great surprise, the black water tank lights showed "full"! Dropped 3 more pods, added about 3 or 4 gallons of water and returned home. (Minimum consumption during the return trip.) Upon arrival home, the level was still showing as "full". I will no longer use capsules. The liquid form of RV Digest-It Holding Tank Treatment has had fantastic success. Works exactly as advertised when used. I thought the capsules could be easier but now they stick to the liquid form which I know works.
