Good that you can still buy tape recorders! They will become obsolete over time, just like VCRs, so I'm glad I did. Thanks Fisher Price for still making them! The recorder has been dropped many, many, many times. still plays great, no scratches on the plastic. Adjustable volume, nice voice output and most importantly - you can not only play cassettes, but also record them! My 3 1/2 year old daughter has a great time. Next time you need to buy a birthday present for a 3-8 year old girl, I highly recommend getting this recorder and a pack of blank cassettes.
