This is normal for most people. I drive on the beach at night and need more light. I've tried quite a few things. The Anker 1300 was also messy, big and as light as the Anker Bold lc90, which has adjustable zoom and is said to have 900 lumens (I've just ordered a second one). This one I'm reviewing includes a second taillight, also not too bright, probably 10-20 lumens and rechargeable. Now you'll find that all of these Chinese lanterns have grossly exaggerated lumens. I even bought a 4000 lumen headlamp that came with a wired 4 battery pack that had the same output as the lc90, again without adjusting the zoom to focus the beam. I took photos like the others but they are also very deceiving compared to what my EYE saw, even the low light looked amazing so I'm not posting it.
