Review on Uzi Weatherproof Aluminum Periscope with 5x20 Magnification - Spy Observation Tool (Black) by Carmen Jones

Great product! I have been buying optics for many years and am very picky and hard to please when it comes to glass quality. As a result, I was concerned when I read reviews of this product that mentioned focus issues. However, I needed this niche product for my work very quickly, so I immediately ordered two periscopes. Upon arrival I was very impressed with the quality of such a cheap product (the cheapest in the world of optics, that is). The glass is clean, there are no focusing problems, I am satisfied. Since then I have found the scope very handy for observing, especially from a hidden point. There are only two things that make this a 4 star rating. First, the tote bag is almost complete garbage. The quality is not very good and the grip has to be removed from the scope for storage. Since it is a very delicate piece of equipment that needs to be protected, you will need its own case for this periscope if you intend to use it in adverse conditions. The paintwork doesn't contribute to the masking either. Black is fine for certain applications, but if you're using this device in a dry environment or outdoors, it's going to be a bit difficult to camouflage. Regular rattle spray paint doesn't hold up very well, although I've had success with lots of sandpaper and gun paint. Aside from those two small caveats, this is a great product. As of June 2018, the quality control issues appear to be resolved. At least two of the scopes I ordered worked as promised.
