Medium-soft leather with a pleasant feel. It has started to weather and crack (like all leather), but I'm not sure how long that will last. If I get 1 year of it I think it's good value. Aesthetically, it looks worthy of the Fenix 6 Pro it's attached to, and after a few months of wearing it I had no qualms about unlocking it. As for the quick release buckle, I swap it out for a factory silicone strap a few times a week when I need to get in the water or sweat a lot, and it holds up well too. I don't notice any loosening of the spring or locking mechanism. Overall a solid value.
