The loofah sponge can be used to clean anything as it's durable but won't scratch delicate surfaces. Sponges look flat in the box. But if you soak them in water, they double in size. I cleaned the tub with one of them. Loofah removes soapy water, dirt and stains from the tub. But I had to rub hard. You can use a washcloth to clean countertops, floors, cars, and more. I wasn't wearing gloves when I scrubbed with a washcloth, but maybe I should have because... . .After ordering this I learned some amazing things. Articles online say that a loofah sponge can be cleaned, but after you hang it to air dry, bacteria can grow on it. Articles state that you could be exposed to harmful bacteria if you wash with a loofah sponge. For this reason, dermatologists advise against using loofah. Loofah is also very aggressive to the skin. Two days after using one of those loofah sponges, it was still damp. They don't dry very well. When you wash dishes with a washcloth, the dishwashing detergent can disinfect the washcloth. But I honestly don't think these loofahs are abrasive enough to clean greasy pots and pans. They don't look like washcloths. All of them are natural and packed in a paper bag without plastic.
