Happy with the purchase. This is very useful for checking small objects. In general, this is useful for checking things ranging in size from "sharp pen tip" to "blunt pen end". It's about reach. Don't expect to see electrons, mitochondria, microbes, or bacteria. If you need help seeing the small holes on your watch band to add links this is what you need. If you need to inspect coins, stamps, baseball cards, or other collectibles, you've come to the right place. Having trouble reading the fine print in a document or manual? That can help. One of the best things is that it takes photos and videos. Ideal for eBay auctions. What I find useful about THIS microscope. It's portable and lightweight. The battery is rechargeable. A microSD card is used for storage. LED lights always provide the perfect amount of light. It's easy to use. It is not expensive. What I didn't like about THIS microscope. There's a lot of "backlash" on the stand because it's plastic. It makes it easier to maneuver, but still. I wish it came with a small carrying case. Dust worries me. It took a few minutes to get used to. Basically, the upper part moves up and down on the rack and is fixed with a screw on the back (rough adjustment). There are two knobs on the top that also move the device up and down (fine adjustment) and finally the focus on the front. Try adjusting in this order and you will be fine. Anyway, that's my five cents. Useful for garages, collectors and students.
