I bought this pair of power cords for my dash cams in the hope that it would save me having to plug into my fuse box. Both the O and - modes seemed like a good idea, but only the - mode really works. Whenever I dial the power cord into O mode, my camera only stays on for a few minutes and then turns off. This happens all the time when I'm driving when I need to have the camera on. Instead, my camera keeps turning on and off in O mode. In - mode, the camera stays on all the time until the car battery drops to about 11.6 volts. So it works in - (Observation) mode, but since the O mode is supposed to turn off a few minutes after the car is turned off, this product is useless. Your camera is always on in a mode that quickly renders any video files that will be overwritten in a short time. Had high hopes for this product but it seems I keep unplugging the power cord while parking as I only really need the dash cam when I'm driving.
