Turns on by car

Accessory sockets are always on so my camera was recording 24/7. With this adapter it can now be either always on or turned on with the car, just like my camera. My only complaint is that I wish it had a right-angle fork.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Useless features

Works as advertised.

Very chic and high quality. Works as advertised. NOTE: There are only 2 wires in the harness, not 3 as shown: positive and negative. That's a plus, but I just wanted people to know in case they plan on cutting off the USB end and plugging it in like I did.

Pros
  • Waiting
Cons
  • Very expensive

Two for the price of one, big bang for the dollar.

Very easy to use. The length of the wire is sufficient for routing under the panels and headliner. The wire is not too thick. It fits under the headliner. The power button is a handy feature. Leave it on when you need a parking surveillance camera. This product offers excellent value for money at this price.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Reliability

Works well as described for automotive electronics

Our Ford E250 Van works as described ie. turns on the camera on ignition if set to position 0. For some reason on my 1999 Ford Explorer it works in reverse, position 1 on the switch. I suppose it's due to Ford's "standards" which are probably non-standard :) In any case, it's a very convenient device with no under-dash wiring. This is the type of connection.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Low repairability

It works much better than the USB cable that came with the dashcam

I installed this OBD power cable on my 2017 Toyota Camry SE and 2011 Toyota Sienna LE. There were no customer reviews when I purchased this product, but I'm glad I did. It is easy to install and clean. There is about 1 foot of excess cable on both machines, but I tucked it away neatly with zip ties. The DVR will continue recording for 5 minutes after the engine is turned off.

Pros
  • High Compatibility Car Charger
Cons
  • Legacy Model

Invalid ACC mode. Supplies constant power in monitor mode only

I bought this pair of power cords for my dash cams in the hope that it would save me having to plug into my fuse box. Both the O and - modes seemed like a good idea, but only the - mode really works. Whenever I dial the power cord into O mode, my camera only stays on for a few minutes and then turns off. This happens all the time when I'm driving when I need to have the camera on. Instead, my camera keeps turning on and off in O mode. In - mode, the camera stays on all the time until the car…

Pros
  • Plug and play OBD power adapter
Cons
  • Security

Oh my God! This is the best after conditioner!

If you have a DVR and it's powered from the cigarette lighter socket or hardwired to the fuse box instead, you don't know what you're missing out on! Installation on my Toyota Sienna was easy, literally 5-6 minutes, and that's because I took my time to see the best way to route the cable. Now my DVR has unlimited parking time. Instead of a slight delay due to a different source than where I fed it. DVRs come with tiny, pathetic batteries, so you'll need to provide constant power if you want to…

Pros
  • Low Voltage Protection
Cons
  • Operating Speed
