I used it at night to feed my baby. It's pretty dark but does what it's supposed to. It's great to have the timer on. So when you're done and the baby is sleeping, you can turn it off. If you then need to turn it back on, all you have to do is press the top of the head to turn it back on for the transient section. It's soft and everything glows.
