Review on πŸ–€ Kraus KGD-54BLACK Forteza 33-inch Drop-in/Undermount Single Bowl Granite Kitchen Black: Ultimate 4-in-1 Bundle by Todd Stone

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great kitchen sink BUT BE CAREFUL!

This sink WOULD BE COMFORTABLE TO ACHIEVE 5 STARS. A hole saw can simply slide into the grooves and start cutting. 3- The installation instructions mention using a 32mm (1-1/4") hole saw with a diamond blade to cut the new holes, which is good advice. I was able to get one from Revain for less than $10 Ordered Dollars with free shipping and had it on hand when the time came to use it.Beware! There are 12 pre-drilled metal holes on 6 small platforms around the sink for mounting hardware, preventing the Sink shifts over time. The installation instructions state that the hardware is mounted with the small screws that come with the kit and the screw is fully tightened (or something like that). So!You can't loosen the screws more than a few Tighten turns until the bolt heads snap. You now have a broken bolt stuck in the hole. Be the chief mechanic; I've got the tools to work. So here's what you need to do: If you're not already using hardware, go to (B), otherwise start with (A). (A) If you break a screw, simply use a hole punch to move the fastener slightly left or right and mark two new drilling locations. (B) Using a 1/64" drill bit or the smallest drill bit you have, drill the sprocket to the depth of the length of the bolt, progressively drilling to the 1/16" bit. Tip: Use paint or tape to mark the drill bit where you want to stop drilling so you don't drill through the sink. Important! When you are finished drilling, use a toothpick to lubricate the screw hole with a small amount of machine oil or: cutting oil, vegetable oil, graphite (pencil shavings) but NOT grease, lotion or petroleum jelly which can clog the threads. and break the screw. Do this for all remaining screw holes. Avoid getting oil on the rim of the sink where the silicone needs to be applied. Use a manual screwdriver, not an electric one. (useful if you've bought an oven or cookware set) I would have preferred a better quality swivel ring drain pipe to the cheap plastic pipe it came with. Will have to buy something better.
