These are my first crusher headphones and wow. I'm shocked! If you are a bass player who enjoys many different genres of music, you will love these. Rock, Metal, Classical, Indie, Jazz, Country, Ambient, Vintage, you name it. Bass isn't muddy or overpowering in genres that don't typically feature bass. The mids and highs are very clear and even better thanks to the personalized settings in the Skullcandy app. The perceptible bass can be adjusted for many songs to a comfortable level that can be heard every day without having to readjust it for each song. For me, the sweet spot is at the bottom of the slider. Bass is punchy with added vibration from tactile feedback. At the low end it's a very soft and subtle hum that enhances your listening experience. But if you want to go crazy and host your own gig, you can crank up the bass and feel it pounding in your ears. Being close to a large stereo speaker is a pretty good comparison, it's a very unique experience.
