You need this for ironing!
Pros: I like the smooth and slightly slippery ironing surface. This cover meets all the requirements. Cotton covers can be "sticky". Easy to install and sufficient padding. Glad I bought two! Cons: The material is flimsy and can tear if you place the heel of the iron directly on the lid. I keep a large oven mitt next to the board to soften the iron, a separate iron stand can also mitigate damage.
