I needed a lens solely for astrophotography and was recommended it. Did a little research and heard a lot of good things about this lens and the Rokinon in general. The main complaint I found was that focusing at infinity was inaccurate (see Figure 5). Someone recommended shooting during the day to find the so-called middle ground. Once you've found it and tagged it, the rest of the photos should look fine. The lens is quite large and heavy compared to my other lenses. But when taking pictures on the go, it feels very good in your hand. It sags a bit on a medium tripod. It might be worth taking a look at the tripod ring. It was my first manual lens and after using it I started to appreciate my auto focus lenses more. It was difficult to get the focus right at first, but with practice it becomes second nature. The bokeh this lens produces is very beautiful, as are the natural colors. I did notice some darkening of the edges, but it's not too bad, it can be easily removed in post-processing. One thing that helped me find my sweet spot throughout the day was the focus magnifier on my A7RII. Now that I've figured out the lens a bit, I plan to use it for its original purpose - astrophotography. Overall I like the feel of the lens, it doesn't feel cheap in any way. Even the hood and lens cap feel sturdy. Quality is good so far, not the best (personal experience) but you get what you pay for. The only minor downside I've found so far is that the camera doesn't record what happens when you stop using it. So you have to go into detail and add it yourself. I'll add an update to work at night and in low light when it's done. Also in the description and on the packaging it says F-Stop and on the lens T-Stop. Anyone wanna answer what it really is? Update: Used it around town at night and it worked better than I expected. There is some distortion, but not so much that it's unusable (last image). The next update will be the Critical Stars Test
