The bottle seems solid but I haven't dropped it so who knows if it will hold up. The biggest issue I had was that you have to use ice if you want to drink most of your water in a few hours as it doesn't suck. If you leave it for an hour and the temperature of the water rises when you open the spout, the pressure difference will push the water out of the straw and get you soaked when you're sitting in a car or on a table, for example. So I decided to leave the straw open all day when using ice, which may or may not speed up the melting of the ice, who knows. The addition of a cloth handle is nice, easy to use while on the go, unlike other gallon jugs, just hold the spout open.
