Okay, it's actually somewhat magnetic as you can use it to move the compass needle. But it will not hold the antenna securely. I tried using it on a rental car and ended up bouncing off the side of the car when I hit 40mph. I later tried it on both the roof and back of a Sierra 1500 pickup truck and it rolled over several times before hitting freeway speed. It's a waste of money unless you want to stick it on your filing cabinet. just don't put it too close to the vent or it might be blown away ;).
