These shoes really look great. I bought two pairs for our 3 year old twins and today they are wearing them for the first time so I can't say yet how they will hold up but Keen shoes are usually very durable so I am sure they will last a long time will . Also. I was surprised they ran so small - all the other boys shoes we have for boys are a size 7 (toddler) - they can't wear a size 8 yet but these 7s were too small for them. These size 8 shoes seem to fit like all of our other 7s. The only thing I find odd is the velcro itself; It's harder than most to tighten because it goes through a loop that compresses it a bit, but I'm hoping it will loosen up over time. Aside from those two small issues, I'm very happy with this shoe and would highly recommend it. Update: A year later I'm buying the next size up. The shoes have held up very well and seem very comfortable as both boys enjoy wearing them. However, I now buy these shoes in a size 9, while all our other shoes are a size 8 (maximum 8.5). All other size 9 shoes are too big for boys at the moment, and only this size 8 shoe is too small for them. As long as you make the sizing adjustments, you should be very happy with this shoe.
