Review on LI NING ABAR129 1H: Advanced Cushioning for Professional Basketball Players by Owen Houser

Heavy and stiff - my new review

Just got them and only wore them at home as I'll probably be sending them back. The first problem is that they don't offer half sizes larger than 10.5. I wear size 11.5 so I had to go to size 12. The midfoot feels right, maybe even a little tight, but it locks in and is comfortable. No matter how tight I laced them, I couldn't close the heel properly. Also, the sock is huge. I can live with a big toe box, but this is extreme. If they were a size 11.5 I could probably heel snap and the toe box might not bother me that much but I'm pretty sure the midfoot would be too tight for me. However, the build quality is amazing. Reminds me of basketball shoes from the 90's that take hits and cushion well. While they are very tough, that can change after someone breaks them in. They are also heavy and do not breathe well.

Pros
  • Very comfortable basketball shoes. Better than LeBron. Much cheaper. Very durable.
Cons
  • All my legs were numb after 30 minutes of playing basketball, absolutely no impact protection.
