New Balance changed shoes, now it's a piece of junk

New Balance has changed the iconic 574 sneaker for the worse. The biggest change is the removal of the padded tongue and the replacement of an unlined tongue that now digs into the top of the foot. Destroying a product that has been in production for years is not the best way to do business. New Balance should be ashamed. I'm sending the shoes back. Unfortunately I can't give 0 stars.

Not my idea of ​​New Balance shoes

I have several pairs of New Balance shoes. They are all comfortable, well padded, fit well and are well made. Received a pair of these 574's today and they are nothing like the others I've bought. These shoes look good from the start, but that's about it. They are about half a size smaller than others I have, even if you think they are all a size 10. Complete garbage! Say goodbye to the classic New Balance 574 (LOOK AT THE PICTURES!)

The New Balance 574 was a great dress shoe, but nothing more! I've attached a photo of my classic burgundy New Balance 574s (10 years old!) on the right and new shoes on the left which I put back in the box and sent back immediately. Note the thick suede on the shoe on the right, and the new shoe is made of thin faux suede, is matte in color and looks like it was nicked from a bowling alley. Look at the picture on the left and you can visually see that it is sooooo small! When my old 574s were…

NB 574 people are kind of like the people who follow the Grateful Dead.

I buy at least two pairs a year. For me they are really the perfect running shoe, I don't have to say more about them. New Balance 574 is kind of a cult band like Grateful Dead where people who really like Grateful Dead are obsessed with them. The New Balance 574 people are like that, we tend to really think about these shoes and find that all the others just don't fit. They feel great, look great and are durable.
