I bought these in a size 9 (I wear a size 9 except maybe some brands run small. While I don't buy "wide" shoe options, I find my feet tend to be wide on the side and not on the narrow side.) This pair "technically" fitted, but there was absolutely no extra room on the insole. My toes and heels were exactly in line with the edges of the insole. I was walking around the house/up and down stairs and the strap near my big toe bothered me a little so I took that as a sign that maybe this wasn't the right style/size for me. I ended up sending them back and opting for the Teva W Hurricane XLT2 Women's Sports Sandals, Lago Black/Grey, 9 M US. Although still a size 9, the Hurricanes fit a lot better - putting them side by side I was very surprised at the difference in insole size. The Hurricane insole is noticeably wider and my feet are a few millimeters from hanging over the edges. The Hurricane also has really great soles that have perfect traction for the outdoor explorations I plan to do with them! The Sanborn Universal sneakers are great, but they didn't fit me.
