Review on ๐Ÿ•น๏ธ Retro Gaming Meets Timekeeping: TIMEX x PAC-MAN T80 34mm Watch by Courtney Frostick

A little money pumping.

Understand that this watch is roughly equivalent to the Casio A158/168: a $20 watch (less with the F-91W). They share the same foldable steel bracelet and plastic case. The display of the T80 is slightly easier to read than that of the A158/168, but otherwise has the same features as the Casio. For some reason these Timex straps love to pull the hairs on my arms more than the Casio straps. Compared to Casio, Timex charges 3x for the base T80 and 4x for this version of the Pacman. Timex also sells an older version of this design (T78587) without the "T80" markings for about half the price of a regular T80. This is clearly a nostalgic use of cash. Nevertheless, I bought another one. It's light, thin, and feels cheap, as you'd expect. There seem to be two versions of this Pacman watch. This 40th anniversary version has a different dial image with "T80" in the top right corner and the word "Ready!" at the very bottom. Another version simply says "Indiglo" at the bottom. Their packaging is also different.
