I'm a tall guy at 6ft 2in and 290lbs who might be a bit wider. says it's sized for a 50" waist but then it will be straight on the sides and won't close at all. The length is a little short IMHO so if I was a little shorter and slimmer that would be perfect, it would fit as it should so no problem if you are shorter than me.awesome.now to talk about the extra features that made me buy this product.first on the shoulder straps not the neck , there is a leather X on the back to make the straps better ok it actually feels weird but you get used to it but it has to be in the right place for you or else it will just drive you crazy and you pull it off. Clips to hold it together. Well, they never get tight enough to stay in place. often they just come loose from the ends. I should just tie it up now because they won't stay. Those are my only 2 flaws but they were the ones made me buy this one and not the others, so it was kind of a flop. Despite the good quality of the product, I really don't think it's worth the money and the price is too high.
