This deflector may appeal to many, but it has a few drawbacks. At this price I waive this rating. On the plus side, the shield is pretty solid, thick, durable, and reasonably clear. The problem for me was in the hardware. A tip when you order. do it first Remove all fasteners (screws, bolts, etc) and apply medium Loctite to them (you want to be able to change things). I had a problem on the road and removed the deflector, clipped it to the outside of my luggage to play with later in the day. for that day almost all the iron flew out of the deflector. Along the way I stopped at a hardware store, bought replacement screws/bolts and reassembled it. I had trouble getting the cam tension strong enough to hold the deflector in place on the road. The hex bolt, while not as easy to adjust on the fly, was more reliable. After the reinstall everything was great. It didn't move at all, even at 90mph in the fully extended position. The deflector offered a noticeable improvement on my minimal windshield (KTM 990).
