Review on Supercross Trail Running Women's Shoes by Salomon - Optimal for Female Runners by Todd Foster

First, I am a man. I ordered these shoes (women's size 10) as a return item from Amazon without a box for $45. They arrived in perfect condition. As they write in many reviews, the shoes are significantly oversized by 1.5-2 sizes. I wear a men's size 9.5 and based on the reviews I took a chance that a women's size 10 would fit me. Luckily they are the same length as my mens Salomon Speedcross 4 and 5 in size 9.5 (see my photos). However, these shoes are much wider than all speedcross shoes. While I prefer the Speedcross 4 and 5 to the Supercross, I still give the Supercross 5 stars. They are very solidly built with great traction and a very wide footprint. Waterproofing was my main selling point for having to run in NH on wet/muddy trails and seasonal snowmelt. And your feet stay dry. As with any aggressive trail shoe, stay off the pavement if you want it to last. On the road from them and 200 miles will not happen. You can travel 500 miles if you follow the trail. Change insoles every 150 miles. Honestly, I prefer Speedcross to Supercross because they aren't as big and wide. Speedcross is narrower, which allows you to develop more speed and a more dynamic run. Additionally, Speedcross soles overlap the sole of the shoe, increasing strength and potentially durability. The Speedcross feels like a more pro trail running shoe, while the Supercross does a great job of hooking into a certain style for more moderate trail running. run with the supercross gtx and enjoy secure, wide support in a stable trail running shoe. You will get lots of compliments with the Supercross GTX. If you're more into fast trails, want to stay light and agile, aim for a more aggressive and dynamic run and try to achieve new bests, choose the Speedcross 4 or 5. gtx.
