The item I received came in Real Techniques packaging but they were NOT REAL TECHNIQUES mixers! RT puts their logo on the product and the sponges I received had no picture anywhere, they were a slightly different color and shape but not immediately recognizable. It took me a few uses to really notice something was wrong. We only expect a few things from these blenders - they need to expand when wet, absorb and apply in a specific way that we've come to expect from RT, feel smooth to the touch. touch and bounce a certain way when used etc. but these sponges got it wrong every step of the way. I had to use them for a week while on vacation before I got home and bought more REAL Real Techniques mixers to compare. The fakes got worse over time, the sponge was brittle and crumbled after 7 days of washing/use. Check out my PHOTO showing both counterfeit and legitimate products in the same container. Please note the top is fake and has been used so please excuse the dark coloring for makeup soaking. You can see the logo is missing above (on a legal, new and unused RT product below), although both are the same size/shape when dry. I see many other reviews saying the same thing, just wanted to express my dissatisfaction :/ I love legitimate products and want to continue supporting Real Techniques. If legitimate RT is involved here, please focus on quality assurance and direct sales. from your certified inventory!
