Review on πŸ”Š Pyle PFA300: Powerful 90 Watt HiFi Stereo Amplifier for Home, Car, and Boat Audio Systems by Donna Lewis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for my ceiling speakers

I've switched between this little guy and one of the big Pyle amps. I just need to get a signal to my built in ceiling speakers which were built around 2009 when my house was built so I need to hook up the speaker wire. However, I needed a way to upload music to Pyle and looked at Chromecast but they are $35 and I use Revain Echoes and Dots around the house so I wanted to stick with Revain but didn't want another $25 -Dot buy. . Luckily, I stumbled across the Echo Input, which is on sale for $9.99. Everything was ordered and luckily everything came the same day. Set up the Echo input and connect the speaker wires to the back of the Pyle PFA300, connect the 3.5mm jack from the Echo input to the Pyle and power it on, play a song in Revain Music Unlimited, connect the echo input as input app music player and nothing. No sound through my speakers. Go to the wall and turn the volume all the way up and finally I turn on the music but it sounds like it's only a quarter volume. I'm starting to think I should have bought a stronger one etc but before I take it apart and send it back I check the Alexa app on my phone and look at the echo input and see that there is a volume control function and it is located down at 10% for some reason. I cranked it up to 100% and the speakers got so loud they are now distorted but hey it works. I lowered the volume in the app to 85%, the wall volume to 50% and everything is fine. Now I have no idea what my ceiling speakers are but the music has good highs some bass and it sounds great to me and the patio speakers work and the master bedrooms do too so I'm a happy camper thanks Pyle for not making me Spent $50 to $300 on unnecessarily expensive equipment for what I needed.
