Review on Black Lumina 900 Boost Front Bicycle Light with 900 Lumens & Sabre 80 Rear Bike Light Bundle by Robert Abdi

Revainrating 4 out of 5

C+ front light; A Taillight

Overall I am satisfied with my purchase as I feel it is a good value for the money. Both lights work as advertised and give me (most of the time) the light I was looking for on my very early morning or very late night drives. I bike all the time, live and work in the suburbs, and the drivers here are notoriously distracted and inattentive. The front light in particular has a great mount, better than I expected. Holds up well to my oddly shaped handlebars. My C+ rating is based on two issues with the light beam. It seems to lose its advertised brightness of 900 lumens after about 30-40 minutes of my ride. It's like I can see it getting darker as I drive. It also creates a large circle of light rather than the oval beam I'm used to from my Cygolite and Cycle Torch headlights on my other bikes. I prefer the oval beam to see a good wide angle. I am very happy with the tail light. It provides great brightness day and night, which is very important here in the suburbs. My only concern is that the taillight needs to be recharged after each use. The battery life is a maximum of 60 minutes. If you don't mind charging your headlights after every use, even short trips, and the round headlight beam suits your needs, you'll love this headlight kit. I would definitely buy Nite Rider taillights again, but after a while I'm not sure whether I'll buy another light from this company because of the round light cone and the dimming of the headlight. Shame as I think I like their attachment strap more than any other I've used.
