Satisfactory product quality, good price.

When I turned up the volume on my Sennheiser IE4 headphones, I could hear a powerful rattling and a merging of noises. After making some changes to the equalizer that were specific to my needs, I was finally able to get rid of the issue. I made the decision to check the equalizer of the built-in sound card (Realtek ALC887): the sound is TOTALLY different even if the parameters are the same. It turned out that my decision to go into the settings was not a waste of time, as I had previously been considering sending back the sound card because the improvement is not really significant.
My opinion is that it ought to be regarded as nothing more than a bridge between the built-in and the subsequent level of sound cards.
I need to work on my hearing because I was unable to distinguish between mp3 and flac files.

Pros

1) An outstanding model for the price (I purchased it at a discount of 2400 dollars) 2) The sound evolved into something really nice and gentle. The bass has picked up some strength as of late. 3) The sound quality of headphones is much better when the volume is turned up. 4) The microphone started to pick up fewer noises that were not necessary. The voice grew more distinct, but only little so (through a buttonhole for 100) 5) The volume at level 20 on the sound card is equivalent to the volume at level 70 on the mother; this represents great amplification.

Cons

1) While the headphones are not being used, there is a slight wheeze or whistle that may be heard (apparently, the close location of the video card affects) 2) In the absence of any adjustments to the equalizer, it is difficult to differentiate the sound from the sound coming through the mother. 3) The Surround option in the program from the sound card caused the voices in a video to gurgle, so I had to turn it off.
